Paraquat

Broad-spectrumnon-selective contact herbicide for control of weeds and grasses in fruit orchards (including citrus), plantation crops vines olives tea leekssugar beetasparagus and ornamental trees, etc. Also used for general weed control on non-crop land; as a defoliant for cotton and hops; and for control of aquatic weeds. Compound inactivated by adsorption onto inert clay. Because of its unique mode of action paraquat allows for the sub-terrain root system and soil structure to remain intact.
